On April, 27th, it’s the king’s birthday. Traditionally, kids (and grown ups!) are selling allkind of stuff, often small objets they own and don’t need anymore. It’s called the Free Market (Vrijmarkt) because on this day you don’t need a permit to sell small things.
This year, I was again in the inner city of Delft, where it was over-crowded.
The funniest thing is to watch people in all kind of orange outfits. Why orange? Because the king’s dynasty is called the House of Orange (or even the House of Orange Nassau).
